🦅 LET THE EAGLE SOAR: A CALL TO CONSCIENCE AND COMMUNITY UNITY

In the heart of Umuihuocha-Obohia, a story of betrayal, disruption, and political sabotage continues to unfold—one that challenges our values, our constitution, and our collective peace.

It is with a heavy sense of duty that we bring to light the deliberate subversion orchestrated by Dandy-Canice Orji, a former Secretary General of the Umuihuocha-Obohia Development Union (UDU), and his son, Uchechukwu Wisdom, a current embedded staffer in the office of the Ahiazu Mbaise LGA Chairman.

Recall that Dandy-Canice Orji, as SG, announced the sale of Expression of Interest (EOI) forms for Ezeship aspirants, slated to close on the 15th of February, 2025. Curiously, before the official closure of the EOI window, and prior to the constitutionally mandated screening and plebiscite, Dandy and his son railroaded the process in favor of Greatman Ugwuadi—the first to purchase the form. Greatman, who had returned briefly from New York, capitalized on cultural sympathies and conspired with Dandy to force a mock presentation at the LGA.

When the legitimate President General refused to accompany this hasty delegation—citing proper procedure and the pending committee report—Dandy-Canice, in defiance, proceeded on February 7th, 2025, to apply for a certificate of recognition and staff of office using outsiders as witnesses to Greatman’s unratified presentation. This single act was the opening of a wound that has yet to heal.

But truth, like the sun, can never be hidden. On February 14th, after all nine kindreds of Umuofum signed a united declaration, they appealed to Paul Onyegbule Obasi, a worthy son of Umuofum, to step forward. He did so humbly and legally, purchasing his EOI form within the stipulated time—a fact already documented with bank statements submitted to relevant authorities.

Ironically, Uchechukwu Wisdom, the very son of Dandy-Canice, was mentored, sponsored, and supported in his failed council campaign by none other than Paul Onyegbule Obasi—the same man he is now plotting against. How did this young man repay loyalty? With betrayal. With hired thugs. With violence.

📸 The image below, captured on the day of Eze-Elect Paul Onyegbule Obasi’s proper presentation at the LGA Secretariat, shows the Orji father-son duo and their hired thugs, loitering by a rusted bus—proof of the sabotage attempt, funded and executed to desecrate the hope and mandate of Umuofum.

Since Paul’s emergence, we’ve seen desperate tactics: photoshopped images falsely suggesting reconciliation, newspaper embellishments funded by those who never consulted the will of the people, and shameful misinformation campaigns.

Let us ask ourselves:

  • 🔸 Why would a man elevate another man’s son, only to become the target of orchestrated malice?
  • 🔸 Why should outsiders determine the fate of Umuihuocha when our constitution, our kindreds, and our conscience have spoken?
  • 🔸 At what point do we, as a people, say enough is enough?

Now is the time to stop the discord. Now is the moment to rally behind a true son, a tireless community advocate, and a noble leader: Paul Onyegbule Obasi—OKWE II of UMUIHUOCHA.

For decades, this man has invested sweat, spirit, and sacrifice for the upliftment of our land. He has built bridges of hope, nurtured future leaders, and now stands ready—not for himself, but for all of us. Let us not let internal envy and external manipulation rob us of the destiny that awaits us.

Let the eagle soar. Let unity prevail over greed. Let us sheath our swords and build a future our children will be proud of.

🦅 LONG LIVE OKWE II of UMUIHUOCHA. LONG LIVE THE PEACE AND PROGRESS OF OUR LAND.
